Volunteers

The Orinda Union School District is proud of its strong tradition of community engagement and volunteerism. We are incredibly grateful for the time, energy, and talents that our volunteers bring to our schools. Your support enriches the educational experience for our students and strengthens our school communities.

Our students are our highest priority, and your involvement, whether in the classroom, on field trips, at school events, or behind the scenes, helps create meaningful opportunities for every child to learn, grow, and thrive. Thank you for partnering with us to support OUSD students.

volunteer requirements

Before serving as a volunteer, all individuals must complete the District's volunteer clearance process.

In accordance with California Assembly Bill 506, effective July 1, 2026, all OUSD volunteers must complete the following requirements to be eligible to volunteer during the 2026–2027 school year:

Livescan fingerprint background check
Mandated Reporter Training
TB Test

These requirements help ensure a safe and supportive learning environment for all students.
