Get ready for a spine-tinglingly good time! Orinda Parks and Rec proudly presents our annual Trunk & Treat event, scheduled to take place on Thursday, October 22, 2026, in the Library Parking Garage & Plaza. Bring the whole family and enjoy captivating displays, play games, and collect candy galore! Once your session is over, families may meander over to enjoy Taste of the World Market Food Trucks for the last food truck evening of the year. Registration is open to children ages 1 to 11 years of age, parents/guardians do not need to register themselves, only the children participating. Register today and get ready for an exciting season of Orinda Youth Sports (OYS) Basketball! Registration is now open and closed on December 6, 2026. OYS offers basketball opportunities for players from Kinder through 5th grade. Whether your child is picking up a basketball for the first time or looking to build on their skills, there’s a place for them in OYS! New Information and program updates: Coaches will be required to be AED and CPR certified beginning January 2, 2028 (CA Assembly Bill 310, the Nevaeh Youth Sports Safety Act). Also, to ensure fairness and efficiency in their formation, teams will be created based on school location, age, coach availability, and randomization. Head Coach and Assistant Coach will be placed with their own player.
