Facilities and Grounds

department overview

The facilities department has a staff of dedicated employees who provide services to five schools. The department assures safe and well-maintained schools for students, parents, faculty, support staff and the community. 

The department is responsible for providing a preventive maintenance program, the planning and implementation of the District's Facility Master Plan, the Deferred Maintenance program, grounds upkeep, and custodial services.

Additionally the department oversees  construction and renovation of the district's facilities. Construction services include overseeing planning, new construction, major renovations, modernizations, and repair projects.

Facility Master Plan

Orinda USD is currently developing a comprehensive District's Facility Master Plan, which will include all planned capital improvements to be done at the schools and district office. The plan development began during the 2021-22 school year and will be fully developed and presented to the Board of Trustees during the 2022-23 school year. 

Deferred maintenance plan

Orinda USD staff is currently developing a comprehensive OUSD Deferred Maintenance Plan. This will be a five-year plan to include all non-bond funded projects. Progress on the Deferred Maintenance Plan will be presented to the Board of Trustees on quarterly basis.
