Visual & Performing Arts
With generous financial support from the Orinda Network for Education Foundation (ONE) and the School Site Parent Clubs, Orinda students experience an integrated and enriching arts program.
Highly qualified, credentialed art and music teachers provide weekly instruction to elementary students in both performing and visual arts. Orinda Intermediate School students are offered a full complement of visual and performing arts courses through electives and art-enriched classes.
We are thankful for the commitment and support of volunteers from the Lamorinda Arts Council, the Orinda Network for Education (ONE), community members and parents who value the ongoing instruction of art education in Orinda Schools.

Showcasing artwork from Orinda students, including a Celebration of the Arts Reception with musical performances by Orinda students at the Orinda Library Art Gallery.
The ongoing partnership between the California Shakespeare Festival and Orinda Intermediate School (OIS) fosters a unique integration of literacy with live performances throughout the year.
Some of the programs at OIS include a Student Discovery Matinee Series and enhanced curriculum with training from a Cal Shakes Teaching Artist in advanced drama and beginning drama classes.
