TK/Kindergarten Enrollment
2026-2027 TK & Kindergarten Enrollment
The 2026-2027 TK & Kindergarten enrollment window will open on December 8, 2025, at 9:00 am. All students new to the Orinda Union School District must enroll through the district's online application process. Students currently attending TK in Orinda schools do not have to enroll as new Kindergarteners. They will be automatically enrolled in the following grade level.

Age Requirements
Orinda USD strictly follows the California Education Code on age eligibility for entry to TK and Kindergarten programs.
You must enroll your student at the age-appropriate grade level per the birthdate guidelines listed below:

2025-2026 School Year
Transitional Kindergarten (TK):
- Children who turn four years of age on or before September 1, 2025, are eligible to enroll in the TK program.
Kindergarten (K):
- Children who turn five years of age on or before September 1, 2025, are eligible to enroll in the Kindergarten program.
2026-2027 School Year
