Request for Proposal: District-Wide Clocks and Speakers Upgrades for Four (4) Sites
Purpose
Orinda Union School District (OUSD) is seeking a firm to install and configure IP clock and speaker upgrades along with UPS power backups necessary to maintain one hour of backup power. The firm must be capable of working in strong collaboration with OUSD staff to serve the needs of our TK-8 District now and into the future.
Project Goal
The goal of this request for proposal (RFP) is to establish an integrated IP clock and speaker system for campus communication and safety purposes. The platform should continue to function during internet and power outages for approximately one hour using battery backup.
Timeline
The District anticipates the following timeline: 5/9/2023 to 8/1/2023.
Scope
- Clock/speaker upgrades at Del Rey Elementary School, Orinda Intermediate School, Sleepy Hollow Elementary School, and Wagner Ranch Elementary School

Request for Proposal: District-Wide Network Upgrades
Purpose
Orinda Union School District (OUSD) is seeking a firm to design-build a modern network in strong collaboration with OUSD staff capable of serving the needs of our TK-8 District now and into the future.Project Goal
The goal of this request for proposal (RFP) is to maximize the District’s existing infrastructure and provide an overall design of the District’s future-facing network infrastructure. The network design should account for the District’s needs for the foreseeable future. The District’s intent is to build a network supported by a comprehensive deferred maintenance plan.
Timeline
The District anticipates the following timeline: 5/9/2023 – 8/1/2023.
Scope
District-Wide Network and Local Area Network Upgrades:
- Bare minimum network infrastructure upgrades as it pertains to clocks and speaker upgrades at Del Rey Elementary School, Orinda Intermediate School, and Wagner Ranch Elementary School
- Full network infrastructure upgrades at Sleepy Hollow Elementary School
- See Attachment A – included as part of the scope of this RFP
