Business Services Staff

The Business Services Department is dedicated to providing the Orinda Union School District (OUSD) students, parents, and staff with exemplary services. These services include budget development and monitoring, payroll processing, accounts payable, accounts receivable, attendance accounting, student accounts monitoring, as well as inter and intra district transfers, and summer student enrollment. The Business Services Department is also responsible for: Parcel Tax Senior Exemption processing, the facilitation of the Fiscal Advisory Committee, the Parcel Tax Independent Citizens Oversight Committee and processing Free and Reduced Lunch Applications. 
 

The following OUSD Business Services staff members share in the implementation of these District Business Service functions:


Teresa Sidrian
Director of Business Services/CBO

The Director of Business Services plans, organizes and supervises the accounting and payroll departments, assumes responsibility for the development and administration of the district-wide budget, and administers insurance and risk management.  The Director of Business Services serves on the District negotiating team and serves on the Fiscal Advisory Committee and the Parcel Tax Independent Citizens Oversight Committee.  My goal is to ensure resources are allocated in the appropriate areas to align with the academic and operational goals of the District. 


Kathy Williams
Accountant

As the District Accountant, I provide financial monitoring and budgetary assistance to the various schools and departments in the District, as well as maintaining complete comprehensive financial records and preparing monthly detailed reports of revenues and expenses for each site. In addition, I compile attendance records and pursue the filling of E-rate. My goal is to ensure fiscal accountability in effective use of public funds to invoke community trust.


Mary Brakefield
Payroll Accounting Technician

The Payroll Department is a service-oriented department. My duties entail processing payroll, benefits and leaves. I strive to ensure accurate and timely payment of wages to District employees and the payment of all payroll-related obligations. My goal is to assist employees and administrative departments to process payroll information, answer inquires and resolve problems. I have over thirty years experience in the payroll and accounting field.

My main responsibility is Accounts Payable. However, I also process student transfer requests as well as registration during the summer months. My primary mission is to provide professional, courteous and efficient service internally as well as externally to vendors and parents.


Rebecca Bertacchi

I handle Accounts Receivable, process the Free Lunch Program applications, the Parcel Tax Senior Exemptions, ASB accounts, and office supply releases, as well as convert and print purchase orders. My background is a B.S. in Accounting. I believe that service and support is our main goal.
