What is School Loop?
School Loop is the online classroom portal for the Orinda School community. It enables members of a school site to communicate and collaborate with one another. As a parent/guardian, once you are registered, you are able to access information about your child's assignments and school-wide events.

Q. When may I register for School Loop?
A. You may register at any time during the academic year. Parents of students who are new to a school site will not be able to register themselves until the first day of school.
Q. What do I need to register for School Loop?
A. You need your child's Student ID number and a valid email address.
Q. Where can I find my student's ID number?
A. The Student ID number can be found on a report card, your child's Student ID card, the course schedule, or you can contact your school office.
Q. How can I find the School Loop login page for my student's school?
A. You will find the login button on the left hand side of the school's home page.
From this page, there are two ways to get to your school's home page. One way is go to the OUSD Schools section on the left of this page and click the link to your school.
Another way is to go to the OUSD web page, click on "Schools" on the top navigation bar and then click on your school's link. The login will be on the left side of the school's home page.
Q. Can I use my student's login and password to get into School Loop?
A. It is best that you register and use your parent login. Student accounts are slightly different from parent accounts in that they can submit homework via School Loop and have personal lockers to store files. In addition, parents and students cannot LoopMail each other and vice versa.
Q. Why aren't my student's teachers assigning work on School Loop?
A. Teachers are getting to know this tool better. In time, many will be using School Loop to post assignments.
Q. Where is the school web site? How can I access if from my portal?
A. In your portal on the top left of the page you will see the school's name above the School Loop Logo. Click on it to go to the School's home page or mouse over to see the main navigation links.
Q. Because my kids are at different schools, could I log in once and access both schools?
A. No, you must sign in to each school site you at which your kids are attending.
Q. I have kids at two schools within OUSD. Why do I have to register separately at each one?
A. As part of the parent registration process, you must provide your child's initials and student ID number to prove that your child is actually enrolled at that school. By enforcing this at each school site, we ensure that every person with a login is actually a parent at that site. This is an important privacy safeguard, because a login provides you access to the Student Directory, Volunteer Schedules, and other private information which is not intended for the general public.
